For those of you who’ve been around, you see some of the changes that have been going on. Construction on our new FishHawk facility is all but completed. We moved out of the Lithia Pinecrest location. Unfortunately, we had to move the equipment and furnishings into storage because the building at FishHawk was not ready for our move in. This past weekend, the painting was completed on the ceilings and walls. Tuesday will see the completion of the trim and floors (I hope).
This is a very exciting time at Sidekicks! Our new facility has two main work out floors. We also have a separate afterschool room. In the fall, we will offer before and after school support for our member families. For information please speak with Mr. Cabrera. For those adults who want to have an early work out we have installed a shower so that they might freshen up before going back to work.
This facility is by far the finest martial arts studio in this area. We are pleased to have been able to develop Sidekicks to this point and expect this facility to be the first of many.
Check out the latest issue of Inside Sidekicks for information on our new Kidz’N Power program. This unique program addresses issues that concern parents today. Issues like, bullies, confidence, child safety, focus and concentration, discipline, better grades, fitness and leadership.
Sidekicks has been selected as one of only 200 schools in the country to teach the Kidz’N Power 21 day program. Kidz’NPower has teamed up with the Amber Alert people to provide child’s safety education to parents and grandparents. We are honored to have been selected as a training facility.
We have testing beginning on July 12 at New Tampa, and on July 19 at our new FishHawk facility. I know you have all been working hard toward getting your next belt and I am looking forward to this testing.
I want to remind everyone that we have summer camp going on as we speak. There have been a lot of exciting things happening even though construction has been a major factor. We have transported the group from the FishHawk facility up to New Tampa where everyone seems to be having a great time.
You can still register for summer camp, we still have several weeks of exciting material in store for our campers.
I also want to remind everyone about the upcoming week end retreat with Grand Master Robert Hardin. This promises to be an exciting event! I look forward to training and Grand Master Hardin as he is one of the finest instructors in the world. For information about this event please see your instructor.
